I just watched the latest episode of Project Runway, and I'm outraged. Not really...I just hate that Santino. He sucks and he's so jerky and what's with that voice? I don't want to ruin it for those of you who haven't seen it yet so I'll just say this and then let it go...Daniel Franco rocks!
Now for some knitting...I'm in the homestretch with the holiday knitting. I've finished everything that must be finished by Sunday (gifts for the in-laws). Bob already knows that he's getting a work in progress, but he doesn't know what it will be. It's going to be one sock. This is where I am with the first sock which should be finished by the end of the day tomorrow. I have nothing to do tomorrow but sit around on three planes and in three airports so I should be able to finish this sock and maybe get a good start on its mate. Since Bob lives in Texas and has little need for wool socks, I'm knitting these with Cascade Fixation (mostly cotton, a little bit elastic).
This scarf went out in the mail the other day. I think it's really cool and the good news is that if I buy one more ball of this yarn (Artyarns Broadway) I can make one of these for myself with what I have leftover. I love these colors.
I'm still working on the Clapotis. I won't say too much about when it needs to be finished because I don't want anyone getting any ideas. In case you haven't noticed, I'm terrible at secrets. I'm working on that. Anyhow, the Clapotis is looking good from a quality of the craft standpoint, but the color is just kind of ugly. I'm knitting it with Noro Silk Garden that I got from EBay in some weird discontinued colorway. I think it's #33. Hopefully everyone will be amused and remember that it is the thought and the effort that counts. Maybe it can be used as a table runner! It would actually look really good in Bob's 1970's themed living room. Sadly, it's not for Bob. Oh well. Maybe these colors will come back into fashion sometime soon.
This will be my last post for awhile. I'm heading to Bob's Grandpa Howard's place in Beulah, Wyoming tomorrow. Needless to say, there's not a whole lot going on in Beulah, so there will be plenty of time to finish the ugly clapotis and Bob's second sock. Merry Holidays!
