It's supposed to get up to 90 degrees in Big Texas today and I, for one, am against it. In an effort to get through some of the numerous UFOs in my knitting bag, I finished a second sock yesterday and now I have a pair of woolys for this steamy day.
Yarn: Arial fingering weight in Guardian from Twisted Fiber Art. I love the colors here, but this particular base yarn isn't my favorite. I would call it a fine fingering and since it's a loose 4 ply, it's a bit splitty. I do, however love the Kabam, Playful, and Duchess yarns from Twisted and I'll stick with those in the future.
Needles: Two 2.25 mm KnitPicks Harmony circs. I had to try them because they are so pretty, but I found that I prefer the nickel plated needles. These will be good to have around in the likely event that all of my other needles are in use and I'm dying to cast on for something new.
Pattern: My own basic stockinette with a short row heel. If you're looking for excellent short row heel instructions, try Sockbug's Lava Flow pattern. I think these instructions are less confusing than Charlene's and I often consult this pattern when I need a refresher.
