Bob and I had tickets to the San Francisco Symphony last night so we decided to go into the city in the middle of the afternoon to hang out with friends before the concert. We ended up with a little extra time between events and we were more or less in the neighborhood, so I suggested a quick trip to ImagiKnit. We got there about 15 minutes before they closed which was roughly 12 hours after I'd been at Purlescence. It's not often that a person can shop at two yarn stores on the same day with 12 hours between visits, so I had Bob take a picture.
I only had a few minutes to shop before they closed, but I managed to find another skein of Classy and a skein of Handmaiden Casbah in colors I couldn't resist. I have been wanting to knit a Grassy (Ravelry link) neckwarmer and I think I'll use one of my new green Classy skeins for the neckwarmer and the other for the striped sweater. I'll wait until I'm home with the other skeins of Classy before I decide.

I'd never want to live in San Francisco because it's too expensive and way too crowded for this Minnesotan/Big Texan, but it's a great city to visit. The Symphony is really good. They sounded great even in the seats that were so high above the stage it made me a little dizzy to look down. The abundance of fabulous yarn stores is another great thing about the Bay Area. My third favorite thing about the Bay Area and California in general is the food. We had Ethiopian food last night before the concert at Cafe Ethiopia in the Mission which was delicious. We went to In 'n Out Burger today for lunch and we're about to head over to Trader Joe's to get something quick, easy, and scrumptious for dinner and all of this is after the Thanksgiving food we ate on Thursday. I'm going to go cast on with one of my new sock yarns so I have something fun and distracting to knit on the flight home tomorrow.
