1. The last time I was at The Tinsmith's Wife (it was the Thursday before Mother's Day and I was all pregnant) I bought a kit for Laura Chau's Dipped Infinity Scarf. As a general rule, I don't usually do kits, but this kit was made by the people at Tanis Fiber Arts and the yarn is just delicious, so I made an exception. I am dying to cast on for this, but I feel like I need to finish a couple of things first. If nothing else, this is what is driving my knitting these days. Here is the yarn...
See how pretty? Even in this craptastic, flourescent light, flashy photo, it is awesome. I know that I really need to learn to take better photos as better photos would greatly improve the quality of the blog. We have a very nice SLR camera (I didn't use it for this picture), but it's mostly Bob's camera and I don't know how to work it. It's definitely on my list of things to learn.
2. Shiner Holiday Cheer Beer.
Bob bought a six pack of this earlier this week and I love it. I didn't think I would like it because it's brewed with peaches and pecans and that just doesn't sound that great in a beer, but this beer is TASTY. The Big Texas cozy is just for fun, but I highly recommend the use of a cozy. It keeps all beverages cool while you sit and knit and take your time to enjoy them.
Thanks for the 'cozy' tip. My beer always warms up too quickly - while knitting or reading knitting blogs!

I think this might be my favorite 2 sentences ever. You make me (and Ashley, of course!) laugh.

I've had that beer! Have you ever thought about knitting a beer cozy?
