I just got around to watching the finale of Project Runway and without giving away the winner (I knew who won first thing on Thursday morning, but in case by some miracle you've remained in the dark, I won't completely ruin the surprise) I have two things to say...
1. Jillian was robbed. I loved her collection the most. The fact that they told her she was out first made me yell at the TV. I do not understand why creating a line of clothing that an actual woman of say 130 pounds (as opposed to a 98 pound model) might actually want to wear automatically disqualifies a designer on this program. If it were up to me, the fact that at least a fraction of the real population might actually want to wear a given design would be a huge plus.
2. Why was Michael Kors wearing sunglasses for the Bryant Park show? Is he, or is he not supposed to be judging the collections with his EYES? To me, judging a fashion show in sunglasses seems akin to judging a musical competition in earmuffs and believe me, this would never happen. Even if earmuffs suddenly became THE sexy accessory, what would you think of Simon Cowell if he were to wear earmuffs on the season finale of American Karaoke? You'd think he was an idiot, and you wouldn't be wrong.
